Delete your Yapaa account
Effective and last updated: September 4, 2026.
You can request permanent deletion of your Yapaa account at any time.
Delete in Yapaa
- Open Profile.
- Select Safety and account.
- Select Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion request.
This is the fastest route and verifies that you control the signed-in account.
Request deletion without the app
If you cannot access Yapaa, email privacy@yapaa.co from the address associated with your account. Use the subject “Yapaa account deletion request” and include your Yapaa username if known. We may ask for proportionate information to verify account ownership.
What happens after a request
Account access, discovery, sessions, notifications, and protected-content visibility are disabled immediately. Covered account data is then scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days, including:
- profile information and profile media;
- answers, photos, reactions, mentions, and Memories;
- friendships, requests, invitations, and blocks; and
- active device and push-notification tokens.
Pseudonymized safety or audit records may be retained for up to 24 months when necessary and legally justified, including for unresolved safety matters, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or the defence of legal claims. Aggregated information that no longer identifies you may remain.
Deleting individual content
You can delete an individual answer without deleting your account. Removing a friend or blocking someone changes access but does not by itself delete your account.
